Colena MacLeod ClarkOctober 7, 1925 ~ March 3, 2017 (age 91)
White Creek-Colena MacLeod Clark, 91, of White Creek, passed away March 3, 2017. She was born to the late Colin and Amie Jane (MacDonald) MacLeod in Charleston, ME on October 7, 1925, the last of 13 children. She worked in the floral business in Boston for 8 years and married the late Charles Clark on June 6, 1953, and moved to White Creek. She worked part-time at Scott Florist in Hoosick Falls. Colena sought out her dream and started her own business in the form of a flower shop, The Bloomin’ Business Florist for 10 years.
Colena was an active member of the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church being a Sunday School Teacher, served as a Deacon, involved in the Women’s Circle. Colena was always armed with a pen for her Jumbles and a sharp wit, and was fond of baking nearly anything but molasses cookies. She was a very skilled crafts person and made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.
She is survived by three sons, David (Desiree) Clark, Stuart (Robin) Clark and Gordon Clark, all of White Creek. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan (Tanya), Scott (Amy), Adam and Sarah; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 1-2 pm at the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church, 81 East Main St., Cambridge. A memorial service will begin at 2 pm.
Everyone is invited to join the family for light refreshments following the service in the church hall.
